Christmas Biscuits 111014_XmasBiscuits

WHAT YOU NEED:

½ teaspoon each of ground
Cinnamon and ground ginger
115g (4oz) caster sugar
115g (4oz) Stork packet
1 medium egg, beaten
225g (8oz) self-raising flour

Preparation
1. Start by preheating the oven to 180°C (160180°C fan oven, gas mark 4).

2. Mix the flour, spices and sugar in a large bowl.

3. Add the Stork and rub in using your fingers.

4. Add a beaten egg and mix into a stiff dough.

5. Knead lightly and roll out on a floured surface until it's about 5mm (¼ inch) thick.

6. Cut into Christmassy shapes and place onto baking trays that have been lightly greased with Stork. 7. Pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.

8. Leave the biscuits to cool on a rack.

9. Dust with a little icing sugar and decorate with whatever takes your fancy.
