How To? Empty
PostSubject: How To?   How To? Icon_minitimeSat Dec 31, 2011 11:22 pm

This is a very simple procedure, and leaves your desktop looking nice and clean. This works on both XP and Vista, and Windows 7

To get rid of the text and textbox, just do the following:

Right-click the desired icon and select "rename." Now, when you rename the icon, press Alt+255. 255 must be used on the keypad...the keys above the letters don't work for some reason. Laptops, use the NumLock function.
Now, this part can be a bit confusing if you don't understand. For the first icon you rename, you're going to press Alt+255. The second icon you do, you're going to press Alt+255 two times. The third icon, press Alt+255 three times, and so on. This is because although no text or box is showing up, the icons are still named, and you can't have 2 icons with the same name.

To Hide The FILE
1. Right Click the specified file or folder
2. Select Properties
3. Select Hidden Files
4. Click Apply
5. Click OK

To See Hidden file again follow above steps 1 - 5

To Change a Folder or File Icon
1. Right click specified folder
2. Select properties
3. Across the top of Properties window select CUSTOMISE
4. Go down to FOLDER ICONS and click it
5. Choose you new Icon then click APPLY.

If you want custom Icons then you can either make your own using and Icon maker or you can download Icon packs.
All these how to's do work as I have tried them out myself as you can see from my desktop image below
